When Religion Hurts You by Laura E. Anderson (Book). This is a helpful resource on what religious trauma/abuse is.
@nakedpastor (Instagram Account); David Hayward is a pastor-turned-artist who draws thought-provoking cartoons on religious deconstruction.
https://cac.org/daily-meditations/ (Daily Meditations); Richard Rohr and faculty at the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) write daily meditations that can be found on this website or emailed to you. This is a resource for Christians/Exvangelicals who are looking to have more interfaith/pluralistic resources.
Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets (Docuseries). While the Duggar family was under the organization, The Institute in Basic Life Principles, this resource may be helpful to people who grew up in other evangelical and fundamentalist spaces. This, to me, shows the shadow-side of religion that people tend to distract from, ignore, and neglect. This docuseries is a reminder that it is okay to be a critical “consumer” of religious teachings.
Under the Banner of Heaven (a non-fiction TV series and book). This is so profound: to witness Detective Jeb Pyre reckon with his faith in the face of horrific trauma.
