She/Her

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY 34328). My license can be verified here. I am also a Registered Psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society (2511001).
I identify as an Adult Third Culture Kid of mixed heritage and from an immigrant family. I am a half-Indonesian-Chinese Singaporean (Asian) cisgender woman of Peranakan descent. I was born in Singapore, grew up in Myanmar, and moved back to Singapore before relocating to Los Angeles, California. I work with individuals and couples in California, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian countries.
I have wanted to be a psychologist for as long as I can remember because of the suffering I witnessed first-hand and second-hand starting at an early age. While we may never be able to stop the suffering that exists in our world, I became a therapist to try and help people suffer well, to make sense of the pain, to journey well toward well-being—however they define it—and to feel less alone in this complex, messy, and beautiful thing called Life. I am constantly humbled that I get the honor to do this with my clients, and I am very grateful for the people who hold space for me in turn (partners, friends, family, chosen family, pets, communities, therapists).
From the Fuller School of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy, I received my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) along with two additional Master's degrees simultaneously. I completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral residency at the University of Southern California Counseling and Mental Health.
My Master’s of Intercultural Studies and Master’s of Theology helped me to process my own cultural background and informs my clinical practice with individuals who grew up religious and/or are deconstructing religion. All this formal and informal training helps me to remain curious, culturally-humble, and to view life and its diversity holistically through multiple lenses, as well as to use and embody what I know to advocate for myself, clients, and our communities. I stand as an ally and advocate for members of all marginalized communities.
Areas of Specialty
I am passionate about working with clients who are experiencing the emotional, psychological, and relational difficulties that come from processing their intersecting identities, sense of self, and relational contexts. My specialties are depression, grief, and trauma (e.g., relational abuse or religious abuse) that can stem from those complex dynamics.
