An end-of-life doula is a companion who helps a person transition to death, and/or their loved ones through the dying process. The goal is to help the transition to be as peaceful and as dignified as possible.

An end-of-life doula is a non-medical professional who:

  • increases awareness of end-of-life care options

  • increases the quality of life at the end of life

  • provides compassionate guidance and emotional or spiritual support during the end of life

  • facilitates meaningful conversations between you, your family, and your care team

  • educates families on the significance of advance care and end-of-life planning, so as to help achieve comfort and peace at the end of life.

I can be hired to work directly with the person with the terminal diagnosis, or with the family members or caregivers around the person.

I work with dying adults, as well as dying adolescents and children (specialising in Pediatric Death).

I also help people at any stage of their life prepare for their death.
